Architect Selected to Design New State-of-the-Art Pharmacy in California

Bernstein & Associates, Architects is pleased to announce it has been selected to provide architectural design and equipment planning services for a new hospital pharmacy in Santa Barbara, CA. The pharmacy will be designed to meet the latest best practices in pharmacy design, usp795, and the most current pharmacy automation equipment. Bernstein & Associates, Architects currently has (5) state-of-the-art pharmacies in design or construction.

The pharmacy project is a complete, new, state-of-the-art pharmacy, designed to conform to usp 795, California State Board of Pharmacy guidelines, and OSHPOD. The new pharmacy design includes the following pharmacy spaces: iso 7 anteroom, iso 7 hazardous compounding room, and iso 7 non-hazardous compounding room. Other pharmacy support spaces included in the pharmacy plan include: Receiving, Central Work Area, Narcotics, Refrigerator Space, Freezer Space, Storage Room, Toilets, Employee Pharmacy, Order Entry, Offices, Conference Room, Staff Lounge/Lockers, Investigative Drug Storage, Expired Drug Storage, Recalled Drug Storage, and IV Storage.

The pharmacy plan also includes the latest pharmacy automation equipment.
